Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of mtorodite from Zimbabwe!!! Mtorodite is a rare variety of chrome bearing chalcedony!!! We acquired this specimen from Jim Houran a
few years ago!!! The specimen has intense green color that, curiously is divided sharply in half - with a jade-like green on one side
and a lively emerald green on the other side!!! If you look at the specimen on its edge you can clearly see the division between the differing colors of green!!! Such a
sharp division, combined with lively color, would certainly create a unique opportunity for a lapidarist indeed!!! The specimen has curious
natural markings that almost resemble some kind of primitive cuniform writing as well!!! This specimen is much more impressive in person!!!
Simply a fantastic example of this rare chalcedony varietal!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
