Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of muirite from the type locality in California!!! This rare California species is named for famed naturalist and author John Muir!!! This specimen consists of a sanbornite matrix that hosts numerous submillimeter grains of orange muirite in addition to small grains of pyrrhotite!!! The muirite is visible on all sides!!!
