Biotite Mica with Muscovite var. Fuchsite Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel, New York City, New York 6.3cm x 5.5cm x 4.2cm Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection 1947

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific combination of mica species from New York City!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a broad, gemmy crystal of dark, smoky-champagne colored muscovite crystal on one side and a broad face covered with dark scales of biotite mica on the other side - at the boarder between these two is a cluster of gemmy crystals of green colored fuchsite!!! It is difficult to appreciate in the pictures, however it is quite intruiging in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
