Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of nadorite from the type locality in Algeria!!! This specimen consists of a dense cluster of
intergrown nadorite crystals that hosts some masses of intergrown, microcrystalline orange tripuhyite and small crystals of
cerussite scattered about the bladed crystals of nadorite!!! The nadorite is present both as massive, amber-brown material as
well as characteristically bladed crystals with an orange-yellow color on the surface!!! Upon close inspection one can see
that the scattered crystals of cerussite have sharp, lustrous faces and exhibit areas of characteristic complexity as well!!!
This specimen also retains an old label from Wilhelm Maucher (1879-1930) as well!!! These historic, type locale nadorite specimens were
collected well over a century ago!!! Rare old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
