Description/Interesting Notes:
An outstanding, old time example of this rare gold-bearing species from the type locality in Romania!!! This specimen
hosts a very rich showing of brilliantly metallic, complex blades of nagyagite partially included in matrix!!! One
can see significant crystals of nagyagite on all sides of the specimen, with individual crystals ranging up to 1.7cm!!!
This specimen hosts numerous broad areas where prominent, bladed crystals jut out from the matrix!!! The groups of crystals
are much more three-dimensional than they appear in the pics and display quite dynamically in person!!! There are also
numerous areas that show terminated crystals as well!!! This is a
killer example of this rare and sought after species!!! Way better than the pics show!!! This material dates to the 19th century!!! This specimen
is originally Harvard University and subsequently Grace Dearborn Collection (1891-1980)!!!
This specimen retains a previous label with original Harvard label details affixed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 30th!!!
