Natanite
Level 10, Potosi Mine (El Potosi Mine), Santa Eulalia District, Mun. de Aquiles Serdan, Chihuahua, Mexico
3.32cm x 2.07cm x 1.28cm
Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of natanite from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of darkly colored ilvaite that hosts several tiny crystals of
orange natanite in association with some whitish calcite and minor brown hisingerite!!! The natanite crystals are present as orange, octahedral crystals scattered
about the matrix!!! There are at least four natanite crystals or groups of crystals present that range in size up to 1mm!!! It was quite difficult
to capture this specimen in the pictures, however upon close inspection with a loupe or scope there is a lot more to be seen in person!!! Rare material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must
be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
