An incredible example of this rare silver species from Oregon!!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts an incredibly rich
showing of the rare silver selenide naumannite in association with acanthite!!! The naumannite is present as dark, silvery masses and occasional crystals and
comprises the majority of the material seen and there are a few areas that host darker blebs of acanthite in association!!! This is an absolutely
extraordinary example of this rare species!!! There are contiguous masses of naumannite up to nearly 1cm and there
is one naumannite crystal that is complete and undamaged, measuring an impressive 2mm!!! Not just a significant rarity specimen, but an old and
unusual locality specimen as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains old labels from the Sunshine Acres School (a very "unique" fully
accredited private school - circa 1939, it was part of the nation's first Nudist colony), and the Wintringham Collection!!!
