Naumannite National Mine (National vein), National District, Humboldt Co., Nevada 7.6cm x 4.38cm x 2.22cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A rich example of this rare silver selenide from Nevada!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of naumannite included throughout the quartz matrix and on its surface as well!!! The specimen has been cut and polished on one side to show just how rich this specimen is!!! The polished face shows rich veins of silvery-gray metallic naumannite!!! On the outer surfaces one can see rich veins of naumannite as well!!! In addition to the veins of naumannite there is material on the surface that, upon close examination, hosts some tiny subhedral crystals as well!!! Rare old material!!!
