Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific, old time example of nepheline with allanite, augite, and aegirine from Germany!!! This specimen hosts several sharp prismatic crystals of
translucent nepheline in association with tabular crystals of allanite, a few scattered augite crystals, and acicular crystals of aegirine!!! Nepheline is typically thought of as a
rock forming mineral, and rarely seen as individual crystals!!! The nepheline crystals are sharply terminated with marked luster and translucence!!! The pics
hardly do this old time specimen justice!!! This specimen retains an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with L.L. Hubbard (1849-1933) notation!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
