Description/Interesting Notes: A rare and unusual example of nephrite jade that has replaced a quartz crystal!!! This specimen consists of a single quartz crystal that has been entirely replaced by translucent, pale green nephrite jade!!! While the crystal appears to be a bit crude, this is actually a very good example of this rare pseudomorph!!! The c-axis clearly exhibits the hexagonal form!!! The specimen is much more translucent and defined in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains it original Gross collection label!!!
