Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of true, natural purple opal from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a large mass of rare purple opal that has been cut and polished on one side!!! The opal shows marked translucent in areas and also has zones of yellow and white present as well!!! This is very unusual and attractive old time material!!! In recent years there was some "created" purple opals that made their way onto the market, however this is the real, natural, authentic purple opal!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!!
