This is the classic, historic locality for precious gem opal long before the modern finds in Australia!!! This specimen hosts a significant showing of incredibly fiery, rainbow colored precious opal on matrix!!! It is difficult to appreciate from the pictures, but this specimen has some of the most incredible rainbow colored fire that I have ever seen in an opal!!! This historic opal from Slovakia is quite characteristic by comparison to more commonly seen precious opal from Australia!!! This specimen is WAY, WAY better than the pictures show - the fire will absolutely knock your socks off in person!!! This is truly a striking gem with impressive and dynamic rainbow colored fire within!!! These historic 19th century Slovak opal specimens are next to impossible to acquire and this is a magnificent specimen indeed!!!
