This specimen consists of a large, striking example of precious opal var. boulder opal that exhibits a particularly large and intense band of CHOICE, dramatic, rainbow-colored fire wihtin!!! I cannot stress enough just how much better this specimen is in person compared to the pictures - this specimen has magnificent fire throughout, with large, brilliant patches of intense greens and blues in addition to thick bands of sparkly, rainbow colored fire, and broad areas of glowing, translucent metallic purple - all set off by a dramatic stripe of bright yellow colored opal!!!
