Paradamite Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mun. de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico 1.31cm x .88cm x .87cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A very rare example of this highly sought after species from Ojuela!!! This specimen consists of a radiating spray of lustrous, golden amber colored crystals of paradamite!!! The crystals exhibit the characteristic habit that sets it apart from the much more common dimorph adamite!!! This specimen has actually been "in use" for a number of years as my personal "go-to" specimen when dealing with possible paradamite unknowns!!! This is a fantastic example of the species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! There are also some white acicular crystals of hydrozincite in association as well!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This is old Ojuela material from the lower, long-since flooded levels of the mine!!! Good examples of true paradamite are very scarce indeed!!!
