Paramelaconite after Cuprite with Plancheite, Spangolite, Brochantite, Cuprite, & Malachite Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Mun. de Cananea, Sonora, Mexico 3.68cm x 3cm x .9cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely amazing, RARE example of paramelaconite from this exciting locality!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of cubic cuprite crystals that have been replaced by black paramelaconite in aesthetic association with bright blue balls of plancheite on a colorful matrix of intergrown cuprite, brochantite, spangolite and malachite!!! Upon close inspection one can see small areas of paramelaconite microcrystals scattered about on the cuprite pseudomorphs as well!!! On the edge of the specimen there is a highly complex, 3mm crystal of blue-green spangolite intergrown with the cuprite!!! There are also numerous significant areas of somewhat massive spangolite intergrown throughout the matrix as well!!! All in all this is a very significant example of this very rare species!!! There are likely other rarities in association as well!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this specimen justice!!! This specimen is simply amazing upon close inspection with a loupe or scope as well!!! A very rare find indeed!!! Don't miss out!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
