Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of pargasite from the type locality in Finland!!! This specimen consists of a large single crystal of darkly colored pargasite with a second smaller crystal and a small amount of matrix in association!!! The pargasite crystal has sharply defined faces and marked luster as well!!! This specimen has an old, unattributed catalogue number affixed as well!!! Simply a fantastic example of the species from the type locale!!! Rare, old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
