A fantastic example of pearceite from the new find at the Uchucchacua Mine in Peru!!! This specimen consists of a matrix
of quartz, pale pink rhodochrosite and iridescent chalcopyrite that hosts a small cluster of pearceite crystals and a large single, complex crystal as well!!!
Simply a terrific example of this rare silver-bearing species!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or stereoscope, one can find tiny wire silver
crystals tucked in amongst the cluster of pearceite crystals!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
