Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of this rare species from Chile!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of rare penfieldite crystals in association with intense blue boleite!!! It is difficult to appreciate from this pics, but this large specimen is LOADED with fantastic penfieldite crystals!!! The penfieldite crystals exhibit a variety of habits with sharp, glassy faces and clarity that ranges from translucent to gem!!! The penfieldite crystals range in size up to nearly 5mm!!! The boleite is present as scattered areas of microcrystalline crusts and inclusions within the penfieldite!!! Simply a magnificent example of this rare species!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope this specimen is simply amazing!!! The penfieldite fluoresces yellow under SW UV as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
