Petersite Laurel Hill (Snake Hill), Secaucus, Hudson Co., New Jersey 1cm x .6cm x .6cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of this very rare and highly sought after species from New Jersey!!! This specimen hosts numerous, eye visible sprays of green petersite on matrix!!! The sprays of petersite range in color from a bright lime green to a few curious emerald green sprays!!! There are several sprays not visible in the pics too!!! Counting all the individual sprays there are over 20!!! This specimen was a bit difficult to photograph, however it is very impressive in person under close inspection!!! This specimen came from Nick Facciolla and is from the original type material discovered by him in 1981!!! We recently acquired this specimen in some old collection material and this specimen retains its original hand-made mount and handwritten label as well!!! This is a magnificent example of this very rare species indeed!!! Fine examples of petersite like this are exceptionally rare!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
