Description/Interesting Notes: An unusual and rare example of petrified wood from Sayreville, New Jersey!!! This specimen consists of a section of petrified wood that has pronounced layers and an attractive two-tone coloration!!! The wood grain is still quite pronounced - however it is VERY petrified indeed!!! It is a fascinating specimen in person!!! This specimen retains its original Wintringham Collection label as well as a Tierney donation label (donor was Sunshine Acres)!!!
