A magnificent example of petzite and native gold from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of
darkly colored petzite with native gold!!! Nearly all of the darkly colored material on this specimen is petzite and there
are numerous significant areas of native gold in intimate association!!! While this specimen shows rich masses
of petzite throughout, there is a small vug that hosts areas of crystalline petzite as well!!! In addition to the petzite and
native gold, there is a small amount of sphalerite present (some small crystals in the vug as well) and a lone mass of
somewhat granular pyrite (sticking off one side of the specimen)!!! This is incredible, rich material!!! This specimen
WAY better than the pictures show!!! This specimen came from old material that came from the A.E. Seaman Museum - the material
had not been catalogued but was noted as coming from the German mineralogist B. Klose!!! Rare old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
