Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of petzite from Canada!!! This specimen consists of a calcite matrix that hosts a rich showing of dark silvery gray petzite in association with golden chalcopyrite!!! The specimen has been cut and polished on one side to show the veins of petzite within!!! One can see numerous veins and grains of silvery metallic petzite, in association with golden chalcopyrite on the polished face of the specimen!!! One can see numerous areas of exposed, compressed masses of dark silvery petzite scattered all over the specimen as well!!! There is much more petzite present than the pics show!!! This specimen is from the University of Delaware Mineralogical Museum!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
