Description/Interesting Notes: An outstanding, old time example of petzite from this seldom referenced Colorado locality!! This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that hosts a rich showing of complex, silvery crystals of petzite!!! Upon close inspection, it can be seen that the petzite is actually very well crystallized and in terrific condition!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope, one can see that many of the crystals and clusters are actually complete!!! The highly complex features and curious, rounded forms are quite fascinating under close study!!! This old time specimen retains a partial A.E. Foote label on the reverse and retains an old label and affixed catalogue label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
