Phosphophyllite Unificada Mine, Cerro de Potosí (Cerro Rico), Potosí City, Potosí Department, Bolivia 1.61cm x 1.2cm x 1cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare "Holy Grail" mineral species from Bolivia!!! This specimen hosts a striking crystal of lively green phosphophyllite in association with some darkly colored sphalerite matrix!!! The phosphophyllite exhibits characteristic twinning and has absolutely choice color!!! The crystal has bright, glassy luster and gemmy clarity (there is actually a significant amount of gem material in the largest section of the crystal!)!!! The larger crystal exhibits some complex etching on part of the front and the reverse is actually a broad contact, however the other crystal is razor-sharp, gem clear, and pristine!!! Altogether, the specimen displays magnificently as you can see in the pics!!! The richness of color, brilliance, and gemminess are all much more significant than the pics show!!! This specimen is VERY lively and showy in person!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
