Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of native platinum from Russia!!! This specimen consist of a complex single crystal of native platinum!!! Upon close inspection, this crystal exhibits numerous highly complex features!!! The crystal has numerous stepped features and upon close inspection with a scope one can see that some of the rounded features are comprised of compressed ribbon-like wires!!! This specimen has well formed cubic features on every side and there is a lot more to see upon close inspection!!! This specimen would also be a good candidate for further analysis (rare species association, etc.) as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
