Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of this prized native element from Russia!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex crystal of native platinum!!! This crystal exhibits a fascinating network of complex, stepped cubic forms with highly complex features and modifications!!! Upon close examination this specimen is much more sharp and brilliant than the pictures show!!! There are some unidentified crystals present in some of the recesses that are dark green and gemmy!!! The crystals appear to have formed in these areas rather than simply gotten lodged in them!!! There are numerous "empty" cavities that appear to have hosted similar material!!! Not only is this a visually impressive and attractive example of native platinum - it is quite curious as well!!! There is a lot going on with this specimen and it is simply incredible upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
