Description/Interesting Notes: An impressive example of native platinum from Alaska!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex, alluvial crystal of native platinum!!! Upon close inspection one can see sharply defined crystalline features throughout the specimen - including concentric features and other complex features!!! There are also a few tiny, darkly colored grains of an unidentified mineral present as well!!! Usually examples of native platinum from this locality are less than a few millimeters, however this specimen has significan size for ths locale!!! Rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
