A very rare example of playfairite from this historic Nevada silver district!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of rare playfairite in association with a few tiny grains of quartz!!! The playfairite has a dark grayish metallic color and luster!!! This specimen came from an old cached of American Museum of Natural History material!!! Very rare old time material!!!
