Description/Interesting Notes: A very rare example of playfairite from this historic Nevada silver district!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of rare playfairite in association with a few tiny grains of quartz!!! The playfairite has a dark grayish metallic color and luster!!! This specimen came from an old cached of American Museum of Natural History material!!! Very rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
