Polybasite with Chalcopyrite Chispas Mine, Arizpe, Sonora, Mexico 1.76cm x 1.15cm x .84cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of this silver-bearing species from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of several intergrown, platy polybasite crystals in association with a small amount of chalcopyrite!!! The polybasite crystals have metallic luster and sharply striated faces!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope, one can find tiny areas of acanthite as well!!!
