Description/Interesting Notes:
An impressive, old time example of this uncommon silver bearing species from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of very large, complex
crystals of polybasite!!! The crystals are particularly large and thick - with highly complex, etched crystalline features
all over their surfaces!!! This dense, heavy specimen is almost entirely comprised of polybasite!!! Some of the
crystals host a sprinkling of microcrystalline chalcopyrite on their surfaces as well!!! Upon close inspection one can see a few
small, blocky baryte crystals present scattered about the specimen as well!!! This specimen is way better than the pics show - the
oriented crystalline features of the huge polybasite crystals (up to over 6cm!) show brilliantly metallic luster and have sharply detailed
striations on their faces!!! OLD material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
