Polybasite with Chalcopyrite Greens Creek Mine, Admiralty District, Juneau Borough, Alaska 4.56cm x 2.8cm x 2.14cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of polybasite from a new find in ALASKA!!! This specimen came from a tiny find of native silver specimens and is one of the few significant polybasite specimens from the find!!! The overwhelming majority of polybasite found was massive, with there being just a few significant crystals being found!!! This is a particularly nice polybasite crystal from the find!!! The crystal is sharp, brilliantly lustrous and measures nearly 8mm!!! The crystal shows sharply defined striations on its surface as well!!! There are numerous other smaller crystals and crystal groups scattered about the specimen as well!!! There are numerous tiny golden chalcopyrite crystals in association as well - some of which are perched directly on the outer edge of the polybasite crystals!!! Simply an amazing example of this uncommon silver-bearing species from Alaska!!! You do not want to miss out on this rare material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
