Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare example of cuprian powellite pseudomorphs after molybdenite from Chile!!! This specimen
consists of groups of stacked, hexagonal molybdenite crystals that have been completely replaced by cuprian
powellite!!! In addition, there is a rich coverage of sharp, lustrous, intense green cuprian
powellite crystals!!! There were only a scant handful of specimens produced in the early 1990's,
and are all but impossible to obtain today!!! The pics don't even come close to doing this
incredible specimen justice!!! The powellite crystals range in size up to 2mm with glassy luster,
and have absolute extraordinary color!!! This specimen is unlike anything I have seen before -
truly an incredible specimen!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
