Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of prehnite from Tanzania!!! This specimen consists of a remarkable cluster of sharply formed prehnite crystals that have marked luster and translucence with bright yellow color!!! The color is way, WAY better than the pics show - it is a very definite and lively yellow in person!!! The crystals exhibit eight-sided tabular forms with some smaller, slightly divergent interpenetrant crystals creating a somewhat rosette-like appearance!!! The sharpness of form and remarkable color make for a very striking specimen indeed - this is truly incredible material!!! Simply a fantastic prehnite from this famed tanzanite locality!!!
