Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique and impressive, old time example of prehnite from New Jersey!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of intergrown sprays of
dramatically elongated prehnite crystals!!! The prehnite crystals have large, complex faces with glassy luster and marked clarity - however even
more impressive than this is that the individual crystals range in size up to 3cm long!!! The
sprays of crystals are highly lustrous and very showy!!! The specimen has an attractive light green color that grades darker near the terminations (the digital camera could
not capture the color well for some reason - it has a very pleasing, mint green color in person)!!! This specimen is truly
remarkable in person!!! The pics don't even come close to doing it justice!!! A very unique prehnite indeed!!! This specimen is from the
collection of Glenn Nicol and retains its orginal detailed label with Arizona Sonora Desert Museum notation!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 12th!!!
