Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of proustite with fettelite from this historic locale!!! This specimen consists of a handsome cluster of
complex, deep red proustite crystals that hosts a rich showing of the extremely rare silver and mercury arsenide fettelite!!! The proustite
crystals are quite handsome in and of themselves and are way better than the pics show - the proustite crystals are much more complete, pristine, and
showy in person!!! There is a rich, sparkly showing of paper-thin, gem clear blades of intense vermilion red fettelite scattered throughout
the nooks and crannies of the proustite crystals!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see that the crystals are
well formed and that this specimen is loaded with them!!! The bottom of the specimen shows a glittery luster due to a significant
showing of fettelite crystals partially embedded within a thin coating of matrix!!! This is an extraordinary example of this
extremely rare and sought after species (it is one of the best examples I have seen)!!! It was quite difficult to capture this specimen
in the pictures - however it is magnificent in person!!! This is OLD material that dates to the mid 1800's!!! Don't miss out on this
rare find!!!
