Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of this prized "ruby silver" from Chile!!! This specimen consists of a complex grouping of large, chunky
proustite crystals!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is way better than the pics show - the specimen displays
gorgeously in person!!! The crystals have sharp, glassy faces and stunning deep ruby red color!!! The crystals
have marked clarity throughout - the entire specimen is translucent and some of the smaller crystals
are even gemmy!!! The crystals have
highly complex features and details and there is much more to see upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!!
There are some tiny crystals of an unidentified species in association as well!!! The
specimen is much more crystalline than it appears in the pics, with one side being comprised of many tiny, complex crystalline features - there
is also some curious, fibrous "mountain leather" like material in association as well!!!
Although the specimen is not complete, it is quite dynamic and showy in person!!! These classic Charnacillo proustite specimens date
back to the 19th century!!! Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 11th!!!
