Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of this famed "ruby silver" species from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of deep red masses of proustite in association with quartz matrix!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see some minute crystalline features on one side of the specimen as well!!! This specimen is from an old, seldom referenced locale and likely dates back well over a century or more!! This specimen is from the University of Delaware Mineral Museum and H.C. Van Tassel Collection!!! The specimen retains its original Van Tassel label and affixed University catalogue number as well!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
