Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of proustite from Canada!!! This specimen consists of a brilliant cluster of finely crystallized safflorite and skutterudite that hosts numerous deep ruby red crystals of proustite!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the specimen is quite well crystallized!!! The safflorite and skutterudite crystals are highly complex and brilliantly metallic!!! The proustite crystals are lustrous and gemmy with deep cherry red color!!! This specimen retains a label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum label that has J.T. Reeder collection notation (and affixed catalogue number) as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice - must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
