Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of proustite and argentopyrite with calcite from Germany!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of highly complex, deep red proustite crystals with tiny argentopyrite crystals in aesthetic association with large calcite crystals!!! Let me start off by saying that this specien is WAY better than the pictures show!!! The proustite crystals are much more substantial and showy!!! The proustite crystals have highly complex habits with marked luster and deep red color with significant flashes of ruby red throughout!!! The proustite crystals are in fantastic condition (although their highly complex habits make it difficult to apreciate in the pics)!!! The calcite crystals are sharp, undamaged, and lustrous!!! The calcite crystals have marked clarity and one can see numerous areas where there are proustite and argentopyrite crystals included within them!!! There is a significant showing of argentopyrite throughout the entire specimen, consisting of tiny, brassy prismatic crystals!!! Upon close inspection the crystals are quite characteristic!!! This specimen was in the personal collection of Ken Hogan and retains his original label as well!!! This specimen is simply fantastic in person!!!
