Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of proustite on safflorite from Cobalt!!! This specimen consists of an almost botryoidal cluster of
minute, silvery gray crystals of safflorite that hosts a rich showing of deep ruby red proustite crystals!!! Upon
close inspection, one can see that the crystals are sharp, brilliant, and gemmy!!!
In person, the significant, eye-visible proustite crystals are very sparkly and dynamic!!! This specimen is
WAY better than the pics show!!! Upon further inspection with a loupe or scope, one can find numerous
submillimeter crystals of yellowish golden xanthoconite crystals as well (when viewed under a scope
this specimen is nothing short of amazing)!!! Simply a fantastic example of proustite from Canada!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
