Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of proustite from Chile!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of ruby red, gem crystals of proustite!!! While it is difficult to appreciate from the pictures - this specimen is completely gemmy all the way through!!! This specimen has bright ruby red color and brilliantly lustrous faces!!! The specimen is WAY better than the pics show!!! In person the specimen displays magnificently!!! The crystals are sharply defined and terminated and the color and clarity are gorgeous!!! These historic beauties date to the mid 1800's and still rank today as some of the finest examples of the species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
