Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of pseudomalachite from Australia!!! While it is often confused for malachite, pseudomalachite is
actually a completely different mineral altogether - and a much rarer one at that!!! Pseudomalachite is a phosphate, whereas malachite
is a carbonate!!! Additionally, psuedomalachite sometimes has a slightly more bluish hue and an exceptional natural luster that gives it an almost
plastic-like appearance!!! This specimen exhibits gorgeous color - with a variety of rich, slightly bluish green hues - and remarkably glassy luster that are quite striking in person!!!
The specimen exhibits characteristic botryoidal form and is very showy in person!!! Simply a magnificent example of this
rare species!!! Old material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 13th!!!
