Description/Interesting Notes: A historic old time example of pyrargyrite from Mexico!!! This specimen hosts a large, rich mass of deep red pyrargyrite in association with massive galena, pyrite, and a coating of what appear to be translucent dolomite (or calcite) crystals!!! The pyrargyrite is quite substantial and solid!!! Upon close inspection one can even see some areas of marked clarity as well!!! This specimen is from an old, seldom referenced locale and dates back well over a century or more!!! This specimen retains old labels from the Michigan College of Mines, A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum, and an additional unattributed label that predates them!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
