Description/Interesting Notes: An extraordinary example of pyrargyrite on rhodochrosite from Czech Republic!!! This old, 19th century specimen hosts a striking display of sharp pyrargryite crystals atop a matrix of rhodochrosite and a thin layer of lightly colored siderite!!! The pyrargyrite crystals are darkly colored, however one can see flashes of red among them!!! The pyrargyrite crystals are very sharply crystallized and have marked luster!!! The crystals are aesthetically spaced and prominently perched on the matrix!!! The siderite has surprising clarity as well!!! This is an INCREDIBLE specimen all around!!! An aesthetic and significant example of pyrargyrite for any locality!!! Not only is this a fine, old time pyrargyrite from Jachymov - this is a VERY RARE association!!!
