Pyrargyrite Rosebud Mine (Hecla Rosebud Mine), Rosebud District, Pershing Co., Nevada 3.14cm x 2.54cm x 1.73cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of pyrargyrite from Nevada!!! This specimen hosts a highly complex group of pyrargyrite crystals on matrix!!! The crystals are in terrific condition and way better than the pictures show!!! The larger crystals have an unusual, almost tabular habit with broad, lustrous faces!!! There are some crystals on the reverse and sides that have highly complex habits with sharp, lustrous faces as well!!! With adequate lighting its deep red color and translucence is easily seen!!! This specimen is a magnificent example of the species from this locality!!! This specimen came from a small find made sometime in the 1980's (relatively recent material compared to the historic Nevada specimens I have recently been listing)!!!
