Pyrite after Galena on Dolomite Joplin Field, Tri-State District, Jasper Co., Missouri 9.45cm x 5.03cm x 3.03cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic old time example of pyrite after galena from this classic locality!!! This specimen hosts several octahedral galena crystals that have been completely encased in sparkling brassy golden pyrite crystals!!! The pyrite is not actually replacing the galena, but rather have just completely consumed the galena crystals!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
