Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic example of pyrite and quartz from Washington!!! This specimen consists of a group of complex, octahedral crystals of
pyrite altering to limonite prominently perched on a pair of sharp, undamaged quartz crystals!!!
The pyrite crystals appear to be altering to limonite, which gives them an almost copper-like appearance!!! The crystals
are complexly modified octahedrons that measure up to 1.4cm!!! The specimen
is in fantastic condition all around and displays terrifically in person!!!
This handsom specimen is rather unique in comparison to the more typical material seen from this locale!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just
acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come
in the upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence
Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 30th!!!
