Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of pyrite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a brilliant cluster of sharp, complex crystals of golden pyrite in association with
a unique combination of species!!! The pyrite crystals are in fantastic condition and display terrifically from both sides!!! The presence of the
pseudomalachite crystals is noteworthy indeed!!! Upon close exampination, the grayish material around the base of the pyrite specimen is seen to be chalcocite and
chalcocite after covellite blades (tiny crystals) that host a significant covereage of lively green pseudomalachite!!! The pseudomalachite
crystals are actually very well formed indeed!!! With magnification, one can see that, in addition to small balls of crystals,
there are many submillimeter crystals are sharply euhedral and gemmy!!! There are also a few scattered enargite crystals present as well!!! The pics
hardly do this specimen justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
