Description/Interesting Notes:
This is a remarkable, very atypical pyromorphite crystal from this famed locality!!! This specimen consists of a matrix
of chunky quartz points that host a striking display of bright, intense yellow-green pyromorphite!!! The crystals are highly
lustrous and have marked translucent clarity!!! This specimen came from Howard Belsky, who handled a significant quantity of
material from this locality during its heyday!!! When we acquired the old dealer stock of Howard Belsky several years ago there
was a wide variety of pyromorphites from Les Farges, exhibiting a wide range of habits and colors, many of which were rather
unusual compared to the "classic" Les Farge material - however there were none quite like this!!! From what I understand,
there were a very small number of these electric yellow-green specimens found during this mine's relatively few productive
years!!! This specimen is simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics say it all - it literally looks fluorescent in person!!!
Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
