Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of pyromorphite from this old, seldom referenced Idaho locality!!! This historic Idaho locality was closed in 1905 and specimens
are quite scarce today!!! This specimen is almost completely covered with sharp, multi-hued green pyromorph crystals!!! The crystals are large and prominent, with
glassy luster and sharp faces!!! The largest crystals have slightly hoppered, somewhat complex terminations while the smaller crystals exhibit more classical habits!!!
This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays magnificently!!! This specimen is from
the personal collection of Bob Jenkins, who grew up among the mines of
Coeur d'Alene, often touring the mines on horseback and self collecting at six years old!!! This
specimen retains its original Jenkins collection label as well as several other old labels as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 14th!!!
